We are currently designing a series of seminars which will cover various aspects of the L3C. Many of
these will be developed from within the Working Groups and will be chaired by the leaders of the
Working Groups. We are interested in member suggestions.
We are also actively seeking partnerships with other organizations to develop programs targeted to
their membership. Please contact us with ideas.
Seminars we are working on:
“Social Enterprise and the L3C: A Forum for Foundations”
Americans for Community Development was formed to turn the L3C, Low Profit Limited Liability Company, in to a major force in American philanthropy, to better meet the mission of helping communities and the people in them. This forum will provide a one-day education event intended for foundation leadership and support professionals that will encompass specific legal, accounting, governance, marketing, and application models for the L3C organization tool.
“Lunch or End of Day with L3C Leadership”
ACD and partners will host regional “Roundtables over Lunch” events to include a broad audience of those interested in getting a “macro view” of the Low Profit Limited Liability Company organization tool. Come hear from the leaders that turned the L3C vision in to legislative reality and a growing movement to empower innovative social solutions.
